Basic Juice Reviews

Great Values

Two 'can't miss' wines under $10

  1. Santa Julia Sangiovese, 2002, Argentina, $7 – Seven damn dollars for an easy-drinking, tasty red wine. Not bad, eh? This Sangiovese is quite aromatic – scents of ripe red cherries mixed with a little rose petal. In the mouth, the wine is light bodied with very light tannins. The flavors are simple: pie cherries and vanilla. Try it with Wednesday night’s leftovers.

  2. Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler, QBA Riesling, Germany $10 – OK, so this wine isn't under $10. But to find a good German Riesling for ten dollars is Wunderschön! Dr. Pauly is an easy-drinking Riesling. It's full of honey, peach and pear scents. It's slightly sweet, but balances this by a nice crisp character. This would make a very good first time wine for any 'Riesling virgins' out there. See the label here.
