Basic Juice Review

Martinsancho - Rueda Verdejo, 2002

**** (4-Stars)

Price: $13

Producer: Martinsancho

Origin: Rueda (Northwest in Castilla y Leon), Spain

Type of wine: Dry white wine made from the Verdejo grape

Try it with: Great by itself, seafood, salad, chicken – a very versatile wine

Date Reviewed: Nov 2003

A tasty, unique wine that manages to be both refreshingly crisp and creamy at the same time. It is pale gold with the scent of everything that goes into grandma’s apple pie: green apples, cinnamon and vanilla. The wine is quite full-bodied with zesty flavors of lemon followed by a creamy, almost marzipan-like finish. It is great by itself, and also a very good wine to have with almost any course in your meal. A nice wine at an excellent price. Try it now!
