Basic Juice Review

Liberty School, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2001

*** (3-Stars)

Price: $13

Producer: Treana Winery

Origin: California

Type of wine: Dry red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes

Try it with: A solid, simple pizza/pasta wine

Date Reviewed: April 2004

Liberty School is a deep ruby colored Cabernet that is simple, yet satisfying. It offers scents of blackberries, cinnamon and cedar. In the mouth this wine is medium bodied with moderate tannins and a relatively balanced mouth-feel. Flavors of black fruits are complimented with hints of pepper. It may be simple, but as a youthful, rather light Cabernet, Liberty School represents quite a good value.
